why did you chose your career in architecture?

At an early age I knew that I had a passion for design. I would spend hours sketching golf courses, cities and sports facilities. Today, I feel that the best way I can impact society in a positive manner is through the built environment. 

what is the best design advice you’ve been given?

I had a professor say, “You can design for eternity, but knowing and seeing when a solution is present is key.” I think about this often. 

what is your favorite part of the design process?

I like the entire process of design, but I would have to say Schematic Design is my favorite. That is the phase when creativity and ideas really create opportunities for solutions. 

What I most enjoy about working at Via Design is that I continue to learn every day, and the people I get to learn from are what make Via Design such a special place.
