We Are Via : Nate House

Nate House’s journey is a testament to how creativity, family, and personal growth can shape a unique and fulfilling career. Growing up as the third of four boys, Nate was always “the creative one” in the family, a trait that has defined both his personal life and professional path. While his brothers followed different pursuits, Nate found himself drawn to the arts, a passion that would ultimately guide him to a thriving career in design.

Now, as a husband and father of two talented daughters, Nate’s life is filled with creativity in every corner. His wife Jane, to whom he’s been married over 20 years, ever the practical one, keeps him grounded and inspired. She’s shown him what can happen when dedicated people work together towards a common goal. His eldest daughter, Abbey, an incredible singer with a love for musical theater, surprised everyone by choosing to pursue law, valuing stability over the uncertainties of an artistic career. His younger daughter, Lucy, with a sharp analytical mind and a love for comedy, studies both sitcoms and mathematics with the same level of intensity that Nate brings to his design work. Watching her dissect episodes of Seinfeld reminds him of the power of creativity and humor—something he draws from in his own career.

Professionally, Nate’s journey started in high school, where he found himself immersed in theater, graphic design, and eventually construction. Though his path wasn’t linear, each experience added a layer to his skill set. His hands-on work in construction gave him a deep understanding of how things are built—a knowledge that has proven invaluable in his current role as Visual Design Manager at Via Design. Nate’s ability to bridge abstract ideas with practical, tangible solutions sets him apart, and his combination of creativity and technical acumen makes him a trusted resource for clients and colleagues alike.

Nate’s expertise in 3D renderings plays a critical role at Via Design, enabling clients to visualize complex interiors and architectural elements with remarkable clarity. By crafting detailed renderings, he helps clients feel confident in their design choices, bridging the gap between conceptual ideas and real-world results. This process not only brings a project to life before construction even begins but also exemplifies Via Design’s dedication to a transparent, client-centered design journey.

At Via Design, Nate has thrived by adapting to new challenges and embracing the evolving nature of technology. His unique background allows him to bring a diverse perspective to every project, whether it’s visualizing intricate designs or troubleshooting software. He enjoys wearing multiple hats—whether it’s managing 3D renderings or ensuring that a client’s vision comes to life. Nate’s approach is rooted in simplicity and problem-solving: “The fewer parts there are, the fewer things that can go wrong,” he says, a mantra that carries over from his construction days.

Via Design’s work culture is something Nate truly appreciates. He describes it as a place where the team has lofty goals but never takes themselves too seriously. The combination of high-pressure projects and a relaxed, supportive environment allows creativity to flourish. Nate values the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, from small, intimate spaces to large, high-end designs, always keeping an eye on making things better for the end user.

Despite the technical aspects of his work, Nate’s motivation comes from the human side of design. For him, it’s not just about creating beautiful spaces—it’s about improving the way people experience their environments. Whether he’s helping a client visualize their dream space or troubleshooting complex design issues, Nate brings a personal touch to every project.

In his free time, Nate continues to feed his creative spirit. During the COVID lockdown, he taught himself piano, playing songs ranging from the Beatles to Radiohead to Billy Joel. His sense of humor and love of learning extend to everything he does, whether he’s picking up a new instrument or staying up-to-date on the latest design software.

As Nate continues to evolve both personally and professionally, his story serves as a reminder that creativity isn’t just about art—it’s about problem-solving, adaptability, and making a tangible impact. Whether at home or at Via Design, Nate’s journey inspires others to follow their passions, embrace change, and always keep learning.

Just as Nate has spent his life blending creativity with practical solutions, Via Design is here to bring your vision to life—one thoughtful, personal touch at a time. If you're ready to explore how we can help make your next project as unique as your story, we’re ready to listen.
